What we're about

Anyone who lives with Complex Trauma and PTSD knows the crippling physical and mental symptoms that plague your every waking moment (and with all that gotdamn insomnia, you're uncomfortably awake roughly 24/7).

Life tends to get small. Connections are difficult to make or maintain. And getting a grip on your symptoms feels impossible, let alone pursuing your dreams.

Luckily, you don't have to do it alone.

This grassroots project is intended to build community for Trauma Survivors to support ongoing recovery and personal motivation, despite living in a daily hell. Sharing struggles and successes with folks who get it, spreading trauma education, and supporting each other through daily mountains/molehills.

We'll meet online, at first, to break the ice and establish a trusting community. We want to get to know each other to soften the anxiety factor of meeting in real life. Trauma, am I right?

Tough love alert

I can't viably meet with individuals IRL (unless we make arrangements). Participants are RSVPing one at a time - and I can't support everyone on my own. There literally aren't enough hours in the day.

If ya'll won't interact on the internet, I'm not risking my time and safety meeting up IRL. I'm here to support you, but you need to put in some effort.

To get started with Traumatized Motherfuckers, go here:

The online member site (@ www.t-mfrs.com) is 100% free and supports forums, blogging, and direct messaging. Here, we can privately hold online conversations without public exposure and you can brush up on my mental health tips/tricks.

I'll share members stories and reading recommendations through our email list (be sure to get on it!) so you can connect with stories that ring true for you.

Or Email me here:

Send me an intro anytime at traumatizedmotherfxckers@gmail.com. Tell me about yourself. Tell me what you're looking for.

Let's learn about common struggles of our peers and form new connections with folks who understand. Dive deep into common life experiences, presentation and management of our symptoms, and how to communicate with the rest of the world about Trauma issues.

Let's empower ourselves first, and change society next.

Alone, we're isolated C-PTSD survivors. Together, we're a group of T-MFRS. Traumatized Motherfxkers. With all that Trauma-grit, determination, and wisdom, just think of what we can do together. No longer alone, isolated, or alienated. Not doomed, not damaged, not dead yet.

Tuesday Trek

Stone Mountain Park

Getting outside is key to my mental health management. Shaking off that anxious energy and experiencing something besides traffic is a prerequisite to keeping my shit in order. Finding the time (and motivation when it's 100 degrees outside) isn't so easy... so I make it happen in the morning. Looking for a hiking friend? Join me (or not!) for a morning trek at Stone Mountain Park. I'll be there, bright and early every Tuesday, to kick off my day with a trek up the trail. If exercise is a private time for you - sweet, put on your headphones and do your thing. If you don't live near Stone Mountain - no worries, go explore your own area. We can connect later; getting outdoors and getting active is what matters most.
