We're going to try a networking roundtable where we will go around the room and share what travel-related projects we are working on, and then allow everyone to simply chat with whoever you want to based on what projects sound interesting. I've seen this work extremely well for other groups so I wanted to give it a shot.
Looking to join a project or learn about something new in travel? Come find out who's working on what. Looking for partners and feedback? Come share your project.
Cost: $5 to cover beer and wine, and to show that you are serious about networking
When: Tuesday October 29, 2013, 7:00 PM
Where: Walks of New York office - 1030 Avenue of the Americas, 4th Floor
7:00: Arrive, pour a drink
7:15 - 7:45pm: Go around and introduce ourselves
7:45 - 8:30pm: Talk to whoever you want!
8:30 - 9pm: Wrap up and clean up
There will be NO CHAIRS (and no actual roundtable) - think of it as a formal happy hour where it will be easier to meet people who are working on something you're interested in and talk to them without shouting over music.
We would appreciate it if you would tweet the event using the hashtags #travel20, #traveltech and/or #nytech.
As always, if you know people who are interested in travel and mobile technology, please feel free to invite them to join our group!
Also please feel free to let me know about travel startups who you believe would be good candidates to present at a Travel 2.0 in the near future.
Thanks, and I hope to see you on October 29th!
