Our next event will take place at the New York Travel Festival on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at W83 on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

"Travel 2.0 @ #NYTF" is a full-day event packed with informative presentations and panel discussions exploring the future of travel.

In 2014, we focused on travel innovation, investment, big data, and the sharing economy. (Click here to watch the videos from 2014’s event (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiDtXJD8_1-ZywTL3t8MbvKQV4tow_r-R))

In 2015, the theme is "The Future Is Coming!", and we will focus on cutting-edge topics that will have an impact on the travel industry sooner than most people think, including:

• The rapidly shifting mobile landscape
• Virtual/augmented reality
• Artificial intelligence/big data

As with all Travel 2.0 events, networking and brainstorming will be encouraged!

Poshpacker (http://www.theposhpacker.com/) is the leading source to discover and instantly book an unrivaled selection of the world’s most affordable & creative hoteliers. Created for travelers with the millennial mindset and budget, we feature inspiring places such as poshtels, design hotels, chic b&b’s– all at a happy price. Our mission is to create a trusted, global lifestyle brand for a new generation of travelers.

Travel Monkey (http://www.etravelmonkey.com/) provides safe, fun, and customized group travel packages for groups of 15+ to the destination of your choosing. With years of experience under our belt, we’ve created an extensive & reliable network of resources in the travel industry, enabling us to offer high-quality, custom travel packages at a competitive price.

Visit.org (http://www.visit.org/) is an online marketplace for immersive, impactful travel experiences provided by nonprofits around the globe. Our visits do not include service work, but rather are designed as hands-on tours, workshops, activities, and presentations offered by members of the local community. Travelers can build full itineraries with these half-day experiences or simply add them to existing travel plans. Host organizations reinvest proceeds into programs that benefit local communities.

GeoSure (http://geosureglobal.com/) is a new technology providing personalized travel safety content via mobile. Crowd-sourcing and data feeds from global sources fuel proprietary risk algorithms, delivering powerful threat temperatures to assess relative vulnerability anywhere in the world, street level, real-time. Essential to the world traveler, GeoSure responds to the safety information needs of business, holiday and educational travelers.

Minaal (http://www.minaal.com/) makes gear that helps you live and work from the road, by getting you to your destination faster, happier and more productively. From location-independent entrepreneurs, to photographers, to aid workers, we serve people who don’t want to worry about the durability, style, weight or functionality of their gear – they (you!) have much more important things to do.

Fantrotter (http://www.fantrotter.com/), the first travel site specifically for globetrotting fans, provides door-to-venue travel itineraries for concerts, festivals, sports, and other live events. Fans can see how much it would cost to travel to see their favorite band or team on the road and book it, while event producers can leverage our technology to provide a turnkey travel solution to their audience and earn money from travel bookings.
