Happy New Year 2.0-ers!

New Year, new Travel 2.0 presentations. Who's working on something interesting that they'd like to present to the group? (Those of you I've spoken with previously about presenting, just let me know if you're still interested!)

Anyone going to the NY Times Travel Show industry day this Friday? I hope to catch some of you there.

Make sure you check out Globewanders, the unofficial afterparty of the NYTTS Friday at 8pm:

Travel+SocialGood will be hosting a great seminar this Sunday. Come learn how you can help make the world’s largest industry a true force for global good:

As a reminder, I recently joined Travel Startups Incubator as Managing Director. We have now funded 14 startups and are looking for more. If you think your startup might be a fit, you can learn more and apply here:

Just reply to this email if you have any questions or would like to discuss.

I am looking for an intern or two to work with me in the incubator from downtown Manhattan. Know a student who might be interested? Please have them apply here:

One of our portfolio companies has a truly unique opportunity for a CTO co-founder. They are building a more personal, customized, 1-to-1 ground transportation experience than Uber or Lyft. They have 90% of the tech built including the iPhone app, but they need someone to finish the backend connectivity. Required skills are Node JS and/or Python/Django. They already run a large car service and will have a $500k run rate as soon as the tech is ready. Get more details here:

Love to travel and yearning for alternative enlightenment? Come check out my buddy Bruce Northam at the ‪#‎AffiniaBookworms‬ Club this Thursday in midtown and live vicariously over wine and cheese through the tales of his travels to over 135 countries:
