Come and join us at the Upton Blues Festival!!
After the huge success of doing this last year (despite the non stop rain), we felt we just had to repeat this event. With members taking in the ambience, atmosphere, food and of course, abundance of live music, this now looks like it'll be an annual event for Travel Together members. Set in the beautiful Worcestershire riverside town of Upton upon Severn, Upton Blues Festival has grown from a small event in 2001 in just a couple of pubs into a festival that fills the town with many thousands of music fans, two main stages, an acoustic stage and ten pub venues creating over 130 free performances in three days! The idea for the first Upton Blues Festival was formed on the balcony of Ye Older Anchor Inn by the then landlord Stewart McEwan and one of the festival founders Richard (Dick) Tippen, whilst watching the annual Upton Jazz Festival parade pass by. They commented on the average age of the people in the jazz parade and both said we need to start a festival that appeals to a younger audience. Why not start a Blues Festival in Upton they both said? And that ladies & gentlemen is how it all began. The Upton Blues Festival is Britain's biggest FREE Blues Festival and the winner of the Festival of the Year in the British Blues Awards in 2015 and 2016 EVERY VENUE IS FREE TO ENTER! The organisers try to bring a mix of blues, blues rock, blue grass, country, soul and the best of New Orleans acoustic too. As well as a wide range of well known established artists, you'll also have the opportunity to discover for the first time, many new and upcoming bands. Artists include: TBC The festival is self funded through a combination of camping, festival merchandising, local business sponsorship and advertising, so if you're coming a distance, why not make a weekend of it and camp? This year there will be a new acoustic stage and bar in the campsite, for campers only. If you do fancy making it a longer stay and would like to camp, you can find all of the details in the following link .... http://www.uptonbluesfestival.com/camping This is a totally free event to attend, but you'll still need to RSVP so that we can keep on top of the numbers expected. As mentioned in the heading, we'll all be meeting outside the White Lion on the High Street. SO whether you just join us on the Saturday or indeed fancy throwing up a tent and making a weekend of it, we look forward to seeing you all there. Just remember to wear something BLUE, then let the fun and music flow...... Andy & the Team 'Join as a solo, experience as a Group!'

What we're about

So who are we and what do we do?

We are a small independent travel company that specializes in bespoke group travel. We want to bring together like minded people who share our passion for travel and some adventure to create a community across the UK and beyond.

We run social events, predominately in the Midlands, Brighton, Manchester and in the South West, at the moment, but watch this space as we are always on the lookout for hosts to join our team to bring social events to a town near you!

We run many different trips and each and every one is designed with the group at the heart of it. Some maybe short city breaks where there is a lot of freedom to choose what you do and where you would like to go. We also do 5 or 6 night breaks where there maybe elements of activities and time with the group and then some free time built in too. And then there are the long hauls.

Most of our long hauls include a lot of group activities, whether its transfers or days out, culture, meals or just exploring, most of this is done with the group. When it comes to places like Japan, there's really no substitute to having a specialist local guide with us at all times.

So far we've explored 5 continents and over 30+ countries, but it's a very BIG world and we've barely scratched the surface!

People travel for many reasons and everyone has their own reason, so here at Travel Together, we aim to bring people together to experience things 'Together.' A shared experience can be fantastic, someone to bounce ideas off, someone to discuss the days adventures and events or just someone to share pictures with when we get back.

So why not sign up for a social event near you and come and meet us and the team, you just never know, you may just meet a new travel friend or two!
