Shimla - the timeless beauty holding magic in the air!
Hailed as The Queen of Hills, Shimla is one of India's most popular hill resort, buzzing with happy flow of vacationers full of echoes of its past role as summer capital of British Raj, and the present capital of Himachal Pradesh. It nestles charmingly in the Himalayan foothills and remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903 with the toy train route listed as a UNESCO site. An architectural paradise, flaunting many splendid colonial architecture buildings. It is also a town known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar with market specializing in wooden toys and crafts.
We can also try out ice skating in this Asia's oldest and South Asia's only natural outdoor ice skating rink with the size of 5 tennis court!
Every year, The ice-skating carnival is celebrated in Shimla with extreme pomp and grandeur. A large number of enthusiastic skaters take an active part in the Shimla ice-skating carnival. Large number of foreigners participates in the carnival
Solang Valley - delightful natural beauty
This valley offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. A perfect place for skiing since the valley has fine ski slopes. In winter, the valley becomes a skiing paradise with children of all ages slipping and sliding over the fresh white snow. When snow melts in the summer, skiing is replaced by parachuting, zorbing, and horse riding. For snow lovers, the best time to visit Solang Valley is between the months of December to February.
Optional activities recommended
· Snow scooter fun-rides.
Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla district. The name Kufri is derived from the word kufr meaning "lake" in the local language.
The highest point in the surrounding region, Kufri has a Himalayan wild life zoo which hosts rare antelopes, felines and birds including the Himalayan monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. During winter a meandering path through the potato plantations turns into a popular ski track.
Kullu valley, the valley of God, a place removed from the frenzy of our world, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site home to the picturesque towns of Kullu and Manali known for its amazing hills and the various temples and sight-seeing locations drawing huge number of visitors each year. Surrounded by deodar and pine forests, located between the lower and the greater Himalayan ranges as well as the inner Himalayan ranges of the Pir Panjal. Kullu-manali is one of the topmost tourist places in Himachal Pradesh
Old Manali - a fairy land of quaint ambience
Walking through a bridge over gushing Manalsu River which is a gateway to another world known as the Old Manali. The village has an exotic charm; not foreign, not entirely Indian. It is as if you have crossed into another country with a bit of Asia Switzerland feel. Old Manali has somehow chiseled out a world of its own guarded by Manalsu River. The village is as idle as a fairy tale but at the same time it is exposed to the comfort of today’s world. Two sides of the same coin exist side by side in the village. We have the idyllic village and the locals on one side and the fast growing tourist population and guest houses on the other side. Both are unique in their own way and each has their own distinct space. This is also a fruit town where you could find some local produce
Fun theme park
Agra is renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal, a monument of love and imagination that represent India to the world. It was the chosen city of the Mughal emperors during the early years. The founder of the dynasty, Babur, laid out the first formal Persian garden on the banks of the River Yamuna. Here, Akbar, his grandson, raised the towering ramparts of the great Red Fort. Within its walls, Jehangir built rose-red palaces, courts and gardens. Shahjahan embellished it with marbled mosques, palaces and pavilions of gem-inlaid white marble.
Other attractions in Delhi includes: Red Fort, spice market, Buddha tooth relic, and museum which is worth going, etc.
