This is our monthly portfolio review and tech time.
We will begin with a presentation on about an aspect of photography from a technical point of view. It can be about shooting skills, equipment reviews and discussions or post-processing techniques. November's tech topic will be about how to use Back Button Focus. Back Button Focus is an advanced focusing technique designed to improve the photographer’s ability to focus quickly and accurately. After the discussion, we invite you to present images for a critique and review.
Bring your best images or bring your problem images. We will put them on the big screen and we will discuss the technical and creative aspects of the photos and offer suggestions on how they can be improved if necessary. Conversations will not be limited to how the photograph was shot, but may include suggestions on how they might still be edited in post processing as well.
You don’t have to bring any photos, but if you do, please bring them on a CD/DVD or a USB flash drive. They should be saved as .jpg’s and sized to 4”x6” at a resolution of 240 dpi. If your software works only in pixels, save the longest dimension to 1440 pixels (same thing). Please bring no more than ten images. That way everyone will get their images shown and discussed.
