Wilderness Tsunami 125...easily carries everything I need for 3-4 days camping out of the boat yet can be muscled through up to Class II rapids. Very happy with this boat, but can also see the value in a sort-of white water configured boat with a shallower and more maneuverable hull configuration. So, now I also have a Liquid Logic Remix XP-10 that has safely carried me through Class II and Class III rapids.
22 miles on the Rockcastle River in March 2011...camping overnight on the shore in Daniel Boone National Forest. Barn storming down the Little Miami while it was in flood. Todds Fork of the Little Miami with close friends...incredibly beautiful. Wolper Creek in Kentucky...gorgeous. Clear Fork, a feeder in Tennessee to the Big South Fork...beautiful. Two-day trek on Grayson Lake with renegade camping just after a big rain...more waterfalls than could be counted. Three-day trek on the Clarion River in NE Penn with close friends...35 miles and nary a soul to be seen. With many more to come this season.
Small group explorations of the many small rivers and lakes in the regional area with like-minded folks who enjoy the peace and solitude of nature from the water.
Both in solitude with a few good friends and with larger groups...lots of friendly, interesting folks in TSK.
Found my place on the water, once again. The beauty of the Midwest rivers, creeks, and lakes is astounding. In 2012 was out 70+ times. Let's have a great season of kayaking and yaking...good times with good people!
We showed our best today!
