- Join us for "The ABCs of Certifications"
This months topic will be the ABCs of Certifications. You’ve heard of CISSP, CISM and CEH. What about CIPP? Have you been confused by all the Cybersecurity certifications out there? Are your friends all getting some obscure certification that you never heard of? What does a certification mean anyway? Which one should you get? The answer is: “it depends”. This unbiased discussion will explore the “what” and “why” of cybersecurity certifications. It will unpack the acronyms to help you pick which specific certifications best fit your career goals, and what managers should look for when hiring. The Goal and ImagineX are once again hosting the Triangle Cyber Security meetup on December 13th at the Loading Doc. We are happy to have Dave Buster from Global Knowledge present this months topic. There will be BEER and FOOD once again. We hope everyone can join us!
- Please join us for our first Triangle Cyber Security Meetup!
The Goal, along with ImagineX will be hosting the first ever Triangle Cyber Security Meetup: Can Cybersecurity Stop The Borg? During this forum we’ll discuss examples of AI and ML which are impacting organizations today (positively and negatively). Educating employees to not write passwords down on sticky notes will be a constant, mundane task for Cybersecurity organizations. However, on the other end of the spectrum; AI and machine learning (ML) are evolving quickly in the hands of organized criminal groups in order to penetrate and subvert companies, large and small. Cybersecurity of the (near) future is a battle between your organizational processes/systems vs. The Borg. Is resistance futile? Speaker: Byron Gregg, Technology and Change Leader from Fidelity • There will be pizza and BEER! • 45 minutes to 1 hour for networking • Event speaker will start discussion around 6:15pm • Session should conclude around 7pm
