What we're about

Hello and thank you for your interest in Triad Christian Singles!

TCS seeks to do the following:

· Create an environment for singles to serve God and build godly friendships.

· Bring praise and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Living Christ

· To show singles that they are not alone and demonstrate God's love to saved and unsaved singles alike.

Who should join?
If you are single and a Christian or interested in learning about becoming a follower of Christ......regardless of your age, single Mom, single Dad, don't have any kids, new to area, old to the area, starting life over again after the death of a spouse or divorce, or just plain single and want to meet new friends, this group is for YOU.....

What types of activities?
We strive to plan a mixture of fun, wholesome, and worshipful activities and events such as: Praise and Prayer nights, hikes, good ole back yard cookouts, volleyball, bike rides, Compassion in Action ministry events i.e. Walk For Life and rest home visitations, Sunday lunches, movie nights, etc. Jesus said in John 10:10 'I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.' We encourage you to look over the events of the past 12 months to get a feel for what we are about. We hope you will decide to join us.

Please Note:

This group is not about denominations or picking apart doctrines, but about being 'Christ Followers who Love Him and Love Life'. If you are a male, we ask that you include a clear picture in your profile. As a Christian social group our focus at all sponsored events is Christ-centered. We believe in the complete Word of God as our standard for behavior, and strive to live by its commands. This group supports its members in their growth as Christians; therefore, we adhere to the following standards of behavior at all events:

1. Strive to allow the Holy Spirit to live His life through us. Galatians 5:22-25.

2. The use of alcohol and illegal drugs at our sponsored events is prohibited.

3. Since this is not a dating site, any unwelcome pursuit of members will not be tolerated. Matthew 6:33

4. Gossip or slanderous communication about members is not acceptable. Proverbs 20:19, Romans 16:17

5. Business solicitations posted anywhere on the site are prohibited.

6. Married or separated individuals should not pursue membership in the group. We go by the actual legal definition of marriage. If you are currently separated, please wait until your divorce is final before pursuing membership. We believe that God has you at a very special place and that window with Him during this time is vital. Please take advantage of this time to learn and grow closer to Him. We encourage you to exhaust all means of reconciling and restoring your marriage if that is at all possible before entering into divorce. If divorce is the final outcome, we recommend a Biblical Based Divorce Care Recovery class/group which is offered at numerous churches in the area.

Legal Note: As stated in the Meetup Terms of Service, using Meetup involves meeting people and doing real things in the real world, which can sometimes lead to unexpected situations. Neither TCS nor Meetup can control what happens in the real world and we are not responsible for it.

Magnolia Creek Assisted Living Visit

Needs a location

We will join with TLC (Touching Lives for Christ) in southeast Winston-Salem at Magnolia Creek Assisted Living. We will go in and connect with the residents, maybe go into the activity room for some songs, Scripture reading and mutual encouragement. When you leave, you will know it was probably the best thing you did all week. Feel free to bring some toiletry items for the residents and some gum or chocolates for the staff who have a very hard job.
Some of us will go for brunch afterwards at a nearby restaurant.
Jesus said "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even to the least of them, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:40. Hope to see you then :)

Sunset Hike

Needs a location

We will meet at 3:20 at the far end of Trader Joes in W-S. Then we will drive to King to eat an early dinner at a great mexican restaurant (Amigos). Then we will drive to Hanging Rock State Park and hike to the top of Hanging Rock to watch the sunset. The hike is 2.6 miles round trip and is 20% easy, 60% moderate and 20% strenuous. If there is time we will add an extra hike before the Hanging Rock hike. Please bring $ for dinner and carpool, water, a good flashlight for the return in the dark and a sense of adventure. TCS did this before and was rewarded with a good sunset and cloud formations. I think we will get back to the bottom of the Hanging Rock parking area at 9:45 or so.

Glow-in-the-Dark Softgolf Outing & Dinner

Needs a location

Hi Everyone,

We will be meeting for dinner at 6p at Tanglewood Pizza at 5539 US Hwy 158 Advance, NC 27006. The restaurant is 5 minute from Softgolf at Tanglewood Park.

Then we will go to Softgolf. There are 10 spots reserved for a fun evening of glow-in-the dark Softgolf (one round lasts approx 1 hr) at 7:50pm. To secure your spot for this Softgolf event, you will need to prepay $13 by Friday, August 12th. I messaged everyone who signed up as of Aug 3rd with pre-payment instructions (if you sign up after, private message me and I will send you instructions). There is a raincheck policy, if there are poor weather conditions.

We are going to start golfing while there is some light and finish with using their Glow-in-the-Dark golf course. Below is some info on Softgolf.

## Softgolf™ at Tanglewood Park!

Welcome to Softgolf! The original large format, user-friendly golf game. Whether you’re a novice or a pro, you’ll enjoy Softgolf because it plays like conventional golf yet on a larger scale. Our 4 ½ inch foam balls hit with a driver, wedge, and putter into 12-inch holes make it a unique, fun game everyone can play day or night. That’s why we call it golf for everyone! It's golf like no other!
At night the balls, scorecard stands, flags, and holes light up. People love playing our glow-in-the-dark golf.

I have heard a lot of good things about this fun activity. Look forward to you joining us.
