How would you label your political philosophy?

I prefer the term "panarchist": any voluntary association is valid, even if called "government"- in the tradition of USA Declaration of Independence "deriving just powers from the consent of the governed"; but no "state" - no territorial monopoly

What have been your intellectual influences?

*Political*: my parents, Thomas Jefferson, Ayn Rand, Lysander Spooner, Franz Oppenheimer, others *General*: my parents, some high school and college teachers, Darwin's tradition, a little bit of Aleister Crowley, many more

prefer "voluntaryist" or "panarchist" over "anarchist". Very comfortable with "anti-statist"

What Phil J. is saying about this Meetup Group

Possibly the best libertarian discussion group in the Triangle. Has been for several years. I have not conducted a proper survey to justify saying anything stronger.
