Docker for Azure

  • Applied Information Sciences (AIS)

4721 Emperor Blvd Suite 350, Durham, NC (map)

    35.877308 -78.839951

  • Docker for Azure provides a Docker-native solution that avoids operational complexity and adding unneeded additional APIs to the Docker stack.  This allows you to interact with Docker directly (including native Docker orchestration), instead of distracting you with the need to navigate extra layers on top of Docker.  This meetup will give a brief introduction on Docker and Docker swarm mode, cover how to standup a Docker environment in Azure, and deploy multiple containers within Azure.

Speaker: Tim Wong, Software Developer at Cardinal Solutions

Tim has been a software developer for over 16 years in both the e-commerce and IT consulting space.  As a consultant with Cardinal Solutions, his focus has been developing solutions for clients with.NET technologies and Azure PaaS/IaaS products.  He is a recent transplant from Maryland where he was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.
