Join the MintzFlow “Fix Your Hips” workshop to learn why your body is fighting you, and a process you can follow to eliminate muscle tightness, improve your range of motion without any stretching, and learn how to teach your hips how to do hip stuff well so that you can get back to doing the other movements you love We will meet in TRC’s main gym area. • Mobility as Strength

Triangle Rock Club - North Raleigh

Please join the incredibly talented Ryan for a two hour meetup! Ryan is a movement and mobility specialist with a passion for gymnastics and Cirque inspired fitness. He has spent the last 16 years of my life coaching gymnastics including Olympic and national teams. He also trained with Cirque Du Soleil for a few years doing anything from Duo Silks, cordelisse, and aerial straps, to Chinese pole, and handbalancing. In order for your joints to behave like joints they must be able to apply force in all ranges of motion within which you wish to use them. When you don’t have strength through your full range of motion into your end ranges your body compensates, attempts to find stability and muscle tightness results. This is why flexibility isn’t particularly useful. Instead, we want to think about mobility training in terms of working to apply force and build strength into our end ranges. Mobility is neurological in nature. The more motor neurons that can be recruited the faster patterns can be shifted and developed. This is why looking at mobility training as strength training results in more strength, more useable range of motion, better stability, and the elimination of pain and inflammation. What does that mean? More movement options to add to your movement diet. We will meet in TRC’s main fitness area. Make sure you get there a little early because we will be starting promptly at 6pm. If you have never been to TRC, we suggest arriving 15 mintues early, to ensure you do not miss any of the meet up!
