Dinner at Sosta Cafe

Let's have dinner at Sosta Cafe in downtown Raleigh! If you've been there, you're probably thinking "um...they aren't open for dinner." That's correct, but they are opening JUST FOR US!

Dinner will be $14 per person (plus taxes and gratuity), and will include an appetizer, an entree (your choice), dessert, and a non-alcoholic drink.

**They do not serve alcohol on premises, but the chef/owner Jerome says we are welcome to bring our own libations to our private party!**

The appetizer for the evening is as follows,
Soupe Au Pistou - Chunky soup with new potatoes, green beans, zucchini, navy beans, tomatoes, and carrots cooked in a pesto broth.

Entree's choices (each sandwich served with two sides):

"Chicken" salad (Soy, celery, raisins, walnuts, salt, pepper, olive oil, chili powder and veganese) sandwich served on wheat bread with tomatoes and arugula and with two sides.

"Barbecue" (Soy based with many spices) sandwich served on wheat bread with tomatoes and arugula with two sides.

Veggie burger served on French baguette with tomatoes, arugula and basil pesto and with two sides.

Vegan sampler which consists of Couscous, Cannellini bean salad, Chickpeas salad, "chicken" salad, "barbecue" and tomatoes with basil pesto and home-made Focaccia.

Sosta salad which contains mixed greens, marinated artichokes hearts, roasted portobello mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet roasted peppers, black olives and a choice between chicken salad, veggies burger or barbecue.

The sandwiches can be served without bread for gluten free people.

Dessert to be determined.

The sides are:
-Couscous: olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, coriander, salt and pepper.
-Cannellini beans: olive oil, onions, tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper.
-Chickpeas: olive oil, lemon juice, shallots, parsley, salt and pepper.

The dressings are:
-Olive oil, lemon juice, basil flakes, Dijon mustard, honey mustard, salt and pepper.
-Olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, oregano, Dijon mustard, honey mustard, salt and pepper.

The price includes appetizer, entree, dessert and a drink (hot or cold).

    Jerome is working on a new vegan sandwich, The Other Turkey. Featuring Soy Delight turkey patty, marinated artichokes, arugula, fresh tomatoes, on a baguette. I had the pleasure of tasting it, and it's amazing! The great news, he's adding it to our choices this Friday!!
