Triangle Hand and Foot Canasta Pages

Canasta (pronounced kuh-nas-tuh) is a card game that is a variety of rummy in which the main object is to meld sets of seven or more cards. Canasta was the most popular card game in the United States in the 1950's despite it being more complex compared to other Rummy games (if you can handle the strategy of playing something like spades or hearts, you can play canasta).

LIABILITY WAIVER - You are attending, participating and engaging in meetups at your own risk. Organizers, assistant organizers and members are not responsible for injuries or losses that might occur to either humans or personal items. Each individual is responsible for themselves, kids, and personal items at all times. By attending any event - regardless of whether you signed up, RSVP'd or just show up, attendee accepts ALL responsibility for ANY thing that might occur as a result of participation.

Experienced players, people who haven’t played in YEARS and new players to the game are welcome! Just check the description of the meetup to see which levels of play the event will be focusing on. You must be 18 years old or older to participate in this meetup. If you have teenage children that know how to play and you would like to consider bringing them, please contact the organizer and we can discuss.

There are multiple variations of the game, but this group’s house rules will be “hand and foot”. Please review the rules the group will use posted under “More...Files” before coming to your first meetup.

We ask that everyone attending pay $2.00 per event. This helps cover the cost to host the group on the site and also to pay for things like decks of cards, etc. You also have the option of paying $12 all at once and you can come to as many meetups as you would like in 2012 for free and you get the title "Supporting Member 2012" next to your name as a thank you.

Hosts for these events are volunteers and knowing how many people will be attending is important for setting up for the event. So to be considerate of event coordinators and folks who might be on the waiting list, we have a two strike policy. Members who have two or more "No Shows" or who consisently change their “Yes” RSVP within three hours of the meetup start time will be removed from the group and blocked from rejoining.

Our goal is for everyone to get together and have a great time playing Hand and Foot Canasta. The organizers of the group also reserve the right to remove anyone from the group for any reason, including being disruptive or inconsiderate to other members or event coordinators.
