This is a group for all interested in a Shamanic path, whether experienced or a novice.
We have a full programme of events that will allow you to dip in and out of many aspects of shamanism, ranging from drumming, trance dancing and journeying circles to workshops and socials. We also have a unique opportunity to work with ancestors at the Bronze Age Barrows on the outskirts of Woking's town centre. These barrows were in a very sorry state just over a year ago when some of us started to clear the land and rediscover them, with the blessing of Horsell Common Preservation Society. Just working with the land for an hour or so each month has given some of us a very deep connection, and when we first drummed there, it was profound.
We have a Facebook presence, under the banner of West Byfleet & Woking Moots, where you will find details of other pagan activities in the area which might be of interest.
There will be a donations box at some meetups to cover incidental cost like paying for Meetup.com (£2 -3), and some workshops will have fees attached to them. Moots are usually free or charge
Underneath this is a bell barrow, with a saucer barrow along side it. Bring gardening gloves and secateurs or lopers and spend an hour connecting with the earth and the ancestors in a very real way to clear the site a bit, then join in an energy raising drumming circle for 40 - 60 mins more.
We welcome all paths at this gathering. There is usually a guest speaker or topic of discussion. Details can be found on our Facebook page. (West Byfleet & Woking Moot).
There is no charge for this event
