67 spotkanie - Podwójna sesja Spartezu. Piotr Święcicki i Cezary Zawadka

Zapowiadana tzw. podwójna sesja Spartezu!

Mamy dla was dwie prezentację osób od lat związanych ze Spartezem. Będzie o code review i o szczęśliwych developerach

Piotr Święcicki - Development Manager w Spartez Sp. z o.o. .

The power of code reviews
Many software companies do not practice code reviews (at all or in limited scope only).  They could benefit from code reviews if they understand all benefits well and know how to perform them efficiently.
I would like to explain those benefits, share practises worth following, the ones to avoid and finally mention Atlassian tools that can be used to make this process smooth and effective.

In details:
* What is code review?  And what it isn't (personal critique, etc.)
* Benefits - monetary, knowledge/expertise share, monitor/assess
product/team maturity
* Ways of performing code reviews
* Best practises
* Practises to avoid

Cezary Zawadka - Senior Software Engineer w firmie Spartez Sp. z o.o. .Rozpoczynał pracę, jako programista C++, następnie rozpoczął przygodę z językiem Java, potem PHP, by znowu wrócić do Javy. Obecnie jest członkiem zespołu, pracującego nad rozwojem FishEye/Crucible - produktu firmy Atlassian.

Developing Happily Ever After (practices worth to be shared)

I'll talk much about practices on having influence, increasing quality, learning from support.
There will be nothing about - agile, coding, code reviews, test automation, CI

* Have an influence: ship it 20%, innovation week, spec week

* Increase code quality: where are testers? who is QA? QA demo, QA blitz, Eat Your Own Dog Food

* Learn from support: DoS, learn how to find root cause, learn how to code, deep delve into technologies
