I would appreciate it if you would tell me why you are interested in aquapoincs.

Having become interested in sustainable living, permaculture concepts, and organic eating I came to find aquaponics..and realize it is the single most hopeful prospect with regards to feeding the world, organically, sustainably, and enjoyably!

Everyone has talents, skills, abilities and experience that they can share to help other people. What would you like to do to help the Tucson AquaPonics Project?

I am experienced in carpentry, computers/networking, have some plumbing and electrical experience. I am also interested in healing modalities, organic foods, and love to cook (and do it very well). I'm a good listener and quick learner.. Sooo...I'm ready to do anything, and everything in between!

What would you like the Tucson AquaPonics Project to do to help you?

I am simply interested in information sharing, as I have aspirations of an acre in the desert, with a successful aquaponics operation for both healthy eating and physical re-generation, as well as hoping to be able to supply area farm stands, food pantry, and organic restaurants. I am also interested in helping folks who have the motivation to install and successfully implement their own food generation for themselves, families, and communities. The more this information can spread, the more sustainability we will have for all those in need in these uncertain times! "Let food by thy medicine, and medicine by thy food" "Leave the substances in your chemists pot if you can heal thy patient with food" Hippocrates, Father of Medicine

Recently re-located from the Boston area, I've come to Tucson to be closer to family, and to expand my involvement in sustainable lifestyle, green projects, and various areas of interest for future sustainability.

What Sean B. is saying about this Meetup Group

I think it is a timely opportunity to not only start something new, but foster innovation and encourage experimentation in a vanguard practice. Onward and upward!
