Always been interested in progressive ideas toward self-sufficiency & positive tech that gives hope for humans to survive harmoniously w/ earth. I also understand how very important HEALTHY AGRARIAN food has started to become, and will only continue to grow in importance, for all walks of society...even if many don't realize it (yet). I have found personal enlightenment thru choosing a plant-based diet, and realized I would find real meaning & satisfaction to find regular work in organic food production & distribution. On the path to doing that, to understand (and hopefully implement) aquaponics seems a very essential & logical step. The bit of research I've done on it really excites me. Very happy to make my first Tucson connections in this great field!
Well, for starters, "spread the word". I would be happy to aid in the organization's promotion. Lots of volunteer labor, for any project-related goal (!). Very happy to be w/ positive people doing good work. Being non-committed to a 'regular' job at moment, I am flexible in terms of being able to "show up asap".
I wish to comprehend this brilliant technology fully, so I can then either work with others who have existing systems, or construct them in other needed places, providing good food to others in the community I was in.
Hi, I'm Mitchell & like so many here I'm fascinated by the concept, resourcefulness, and potential of this wonderful synergistic way of growing good food. Looking forward to meeting & learning, with all you other interesting like-minded people !
What a great resource! It is clear to me that Casey is truly committed to helping the Aquaponics food movement grow & thrive in Southern Arizona. Mr. Townsend are very generous in sharing his & others acquired knowledge, and in trying to get a "community spirit" going with this brilliant, practical way of helping folks to become more self-sustaining & healthy with their food resources.
