Due to scheduling conflict with CFI events on the original date of this meetup (April 25), we're moving the hike and lunch to the following Sunday, May 2. Same time in the morning, same rendezvous place, same everything. Bill will email everyone the exact place to meet before the hike.
We'll have lunch in south Tucson at Pico de Gallo, 2618 South 6th Avenue. Yum!
Come for the hike or come for the lunch or both! Hope to see everyone there!
This stress free hike/walk will cover about three (3) miles among the beauteous vistas on the west side of town.
The Richard Genser Starr Pass Trailhead is the primary trailhead access to Tucson Mountain Park. It has room for 44 vehicles. The Rock Wren Trail connects the trailhead to the Tucson Mountain Park Trail System. Open dawn to dusk. Details: 520-877-6000 (Pima County).
Bring a walking stick if you want to, but it is not necessary. It's an easy hike. OK to bring the kids to this one. Sorry, dogs not permitted on trails.
Be sure to bring water and a snack, sunscreen and/or a wide-brimmed hat, and good cheer!
We'll enjoy lunch in south Tucson at Pico de Gallo, 2618 South 6th Avenue, at 12:30 PM, for those who may just want to join us for lunch.
This social event is being announced on two other meetup sites: the Skeptics and CFI meetups, so when you RSVP, please do so ONLY ONE TIME PLEASE. Thanks a lot.
The exact location of this meetup will be posted as we near the event, and you will be notified by email as well.
