How long have you been an atheist?

Well, it's not like you suddenly wake up one morning and think, "Hey, I'm gonna be a non-believer!" Suffice to say that the Christian Meme has never made sense and, despite being dragged off to several flavors of Church when young, the whole sin/redemption guilt trip never took root. (Thank God for that!) My obbservation that many of the believers were living in La-La-Land didn't help their cause... Even today, I can't say with any certainty that I'm a 'real' atheist - and not just a hardened agnostic. With respect to any possible Abrahamic Gods, yea, 'athiest' is correct, but to formally deny that some 'god-thing' is 'out there' seems a tad arrogant. I've recently started listening to A. Watts with some interest and no small degree of amusement. A half-hour of his half-stoned rambling contains more wisdom and genuine 'religion' than all the crap I've heard in church combined.
