Easy Beginner Sabino Canyon - Full Moon Hike

  • to
  • Sabino Canyon

5900 N Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ (map)

    32.310089 -110.822510

  • Ramada near the parking lot.
  • Please read all details before you RSVP.

This hike will probably be under two miles in total length.

It is good for people who have little trail and/or night hiking experience.

There will be uneven and/or rocky terrain and some elevation ups and downs. We will go slow and take breaks.

The path will be decided when we meet and will depend on the experience of the participants.

A headlamp/flashlight is required, but probably won't be needed if there is enough ambient light.

You will want to wear shoes that are appropriate for trail walking, bring water, snacks and maybe hiking stick/poles.

We will meet at the ramada next to the parking lot and will hit the trail at 6:00PM sharp. So get there early.

There is a $5 per car parking fee for those that don’t have a Sabino Canyon or Federal Parks pass.  If anyone wants to avoid the fee, they can post a comment to the group and meet to be picked up from Morris K Udall Park or other locations.

RSVP is required for this hike. They limit groups to 15 people in Sabino Canyon.

Please be considerate and make sure you cancel your RSVP if you can't show up, even if it is last minute.

You can message me, Steve McAllister(Assistant Organizer/Event Host) if you have any questions or concerns.

I will probably walk the road, but NOT the hike as I am using my 4 wheel Walker.
    Have Fun.
