A friend referred me.
I prefer to work with high end compacts because honestly the best shots don't happen when your camera is at home because it weighs too much and I don't travel with a sherpa. So I try to find the highest end camera that fits into my pocket that doesn't draw stares when I pull it out. And currently that is the Lumix/Leica LX3. It shoots RAW and has a wonderfully fast lens for indoor handheld work. I push my camera to its limits whatever it is. It is a tool for me, not a toy. There are rare times when I wish I had a DSLR, but mostly, I love the freedom of just throwing something in my pocket and hitting the road.
The latest high end compact gadgets and sensor technology.
Photographer more or less professionally since 1980. I was trained in and taught B&W photography and darkroom techniques for years in high school and college. Now I've gone digital. I have been published in the New York Times and various papers.
I think it's a very enthusiastic group and run very professionally with lots of fast-paced events throughout the day.
