The Tucson Ukulele Meetup is a member run, not-for-profit music club whose goal is to bring together interested adults for playing ukulele and singing for personal enjoyment. All ukes are welcome; soprano, concert, tenor, baritone, bass, guitarlele, and banjolele. We share our ukulele knowledge and have fun playing and singing all kinds of music (blues, folk, pop, bluegrass, country, spiritual, rock, soul). We are not a song circle and we don't limit the songs we play to specific ukulele songbooks. We follow a process whereby members nominate songs for new songbooks and we play those songs several times over the course of 3-4 meetups. We don't just play the songs. We work on them until we are satisfied. Then, by member vote, we select which songs go into our new songbook. If the timing works out, we are able to perform these songs in front of an audience. For example, We performed at the SAACA Park Place Guitar Festival in 2013 and 2014. We also played at Cyclovia Tucson in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Beginners are welcome. Annual membership dues of only $15 includes learning how to do basic chords & strums at our meetup.  We'll help to get you started, then it's up to you.
