Yes - hypnosis can be used for TurnOn. That's why we call it recreational hypnosis.
The Recreational Hypnosis gathering is a monthly (normally first Wednesday of every month) event where subjects, hypnotists and the curious meet to discuss, demo and practice the fun, safe, and/or edgy recreational uses of hypnosis. Newcomers very welcome.
Pay at the door.
NOTE: I will be combining several groups for this. Toronto Hypnosis Explorers and TurnOn Toronto
This workshop is part of a long series on Recreational Hypnosis. Hosted by: HypnoBruce
This workshop will start at zero. No experience necessary. By the end of the evening, everyone who participates will have some experience of trance AND will have some experience guiding others into trance.
While no one is REQUIRED to participate in the exercises, I encourage everyone to participate in them - the only way to learn hypnosis is by actually doing it, both as subject and hypnotist. I want to emphasize that: Hypnosis is NOT a spectator sport. You only learn about hypnosis by doing it - as a subject, as a hypnotist or (my preference) both.
Another challenge people tend to have is that they feel intimidated if there are experienced hypnotists around - they don't want to look like beginners. If this resonates with you, you are precisely the sort of person that this group is being run for - we are here to give you the opportunity to practice, explore, extend yourself. We bend over backwards to help you feel encouraged.
Reading books about hypnosis is like reading books about guitar playing or meditation - unless you actually do it, the books are interesting but wasting your time. Come out to the workshops and learn what it's like for real.
The group will be meeting upstairs, in a private, safe, and quiet room. Many of you may already know the 3rd floor meeting room where Glad Day Bookstore used to be, 598A Yonge St, just north of Wellesley - across Yonge St from Seduction. GladDay itself has moved, but for the moment, that's still the name of the room.
Kitchen available for food or snacks, provided we clean up after.
Please arrive on time. Latecomers risk feeling uncomfortable and not knowing what's going on - but if you're going to be a little late, come anyway.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
