Hi guys, here's the weather forecast for tomorrow's event at Hudson WI -
    Chance of snow
    High 16F
    Low -8F
    Precipitation 30%
    Humidity 70%
Wind 5mph Please take a moment to update your rsvp today, so we know who to look out for. Jeff has emailed his cell to connect with him when there, as he plans to be an early bird to snap pics of their 1st Balloon Launch at 7:30a. I've also sent out an earlier email for those who wish to ride with me, to text my google cell:[masked] with their contact to connect. I'm planning on going in late afternoon, get in on the picture taking at 6:30 pm for their Hot Air Balloon Moon Glow/Field of Fire and absorb the evening ambience and festivities! Stay warm, and hope to see you all there soon! Rgds, Audrey

The launch is from an elementary school at 7:30 am. All balloons do not take off at that time, they are intermittent launches. At that same school, there will be concessions, a "marketplace" and craft sale. Additional events found at the Hot Air Affair website, include a pancake breakfast, geocaching, movies, museum tour, a second launch, couple clubs having live music and a moon glow in the early evening. These events are spread out in the town. Walkable but not necessarily an easy walk. Also, the balloons will travel with the wind and many folks will follow them out of town several miles. Give it all some thought, visit the website, and we can make a plan.

Please be aware that this is very weather dependent. Twin City radio and TV stations will have info on whether the launch(es) will take place.

I'll be leaving from Crystal in my suv, can take another 5-6persons. Anyone wanting to carpool with me can park in my driveway. To connect, please text me @[masked] with your FirstLastName/HudsonHHACarPool. I'll text u the add. Have not decided what time to leave yet, but wish to stay for their fun evening activities so we can ride together if you are planning to spend the whole day there without time constraints to get back. Hi Brenda, you said you can meet us there, where should I park? So many activities, can you recommend the best activities to head for since you've been there before?

Hi. I am a newbie to your group but this caught my interest as I am somewhat familiar with this event. Parking will be an issue so we will want to carpool in. There is a park and ride at exit 2 in Hudson across from Target that would make sense to meet at and I can drive us in from there. We can confirm all of this closer to the event. FYI that they schedule several launches because this is very much subject to the weather.

I'm going early to take photographs but if anyone else is interested in carpooling sounds like a good idea. You can set up a Google Voice account so members can call you. Google Voice will foreword the call to your cell phone.

Hi guys, sorry I was out of town this weekend. Jeff & Lisa, noted your update on the event dates. I've gone ahead and changed this TCAS event to Sat, Feb 8 i/o Feb 1. As suggested, can we finalize car-pool and other plans during our Meet & Eat on Jan 25? At this moment I don't know if I can get time off again on Feb 8 as I'll be off the week before for CNY, but can meet up later if I can't head up in the morning. Jeff, can I make you the co-organizer of this event?

Yes but I am going to go out early and photograph them setting up so i plan to be there around 6:45. Have everyone call me once they arrive and I will let them know where I am. (612)[masked]

    Home page has proper date.
    http://www.hudsonhotairaffair.com/index.htm
However the Schedule tab still shows the 2013 date.

I think Audry set this event up. I did call the Hudson chamber of commerce as well as the company that created the web page to let them know of the mistake. If you call the event phone #. The outgoing message has the Feb 7, 8 and 9th dates.
    Thanks Lisa
