Atheist Altruists- Blood Donations!

Time to give blood with our friends again!

If you are only going to brunch, please RSVP on the Brunch page, not here.

If you do not need an appointment (are going to make your own), please also do not RSVP on here. The only people who should RSVP on here are the ones who already have appointments and those who would like me to make their appointment.

We so far officially have 15 spots open, RSVP early to be guaranteed a spot. (IF you get bumped to a waiting list, please email me, Crystal D., and I will tell you what to do. The RSVP is set until Monday, October 16th as I have to email my donor list by then. No late RSVPs can be accepted. I may be able to open up more spots but I can't guarantee that- if you're interested and it's full, just message me.)

Some individuals already have appointment times, please RSVP on here too, even if you already have an appointment time!

I will email you your donation time when the event gets closer. Times are between 9:00am-10:30am.

Optional online registration to speed up your appointment: Donors are now able to answer their health history questions online the day of their appointment.

Just answer the questions and print off the sheet that will have a barcode on it for the staff to scan when you get here. Then all the staff need to do is check your vitals.

Go to this website to try it out the morning of your donation:

There's plenty of parking at Memorial's St. Paul/Midway location, just off University Avenue and 280.

Please check out the Memorial Blood Centers official website for ALL donation requirements. (These include the things easily forgotten about, like recent tattoos or piercings.)

If you're 17 or older, at least 110 pounds, are in good health, and meet all other requirements as outlined by the MBC website, sign up to save a life and have a great time with your fellow freethinkers!

AFTER donations, we'll be headed to The Egg and I. If you can't give for any reason, feel free to join us for fun and talk in the blood center lobby OR at The Egg and I, but do RSVP so that I can reserve you a seat. The more the merrier! I will bring a Meet Up sign so you can find us at either location.

Does it matter that I had a flu shot on Monday? Just wondering.

A flu shot is ok. The shot isn't a live virus (the nasal spray is, though. So that's different). I always make sure I mention it to them, just so that it's noted.
