Get in the "Spirit" and Get in Costume for a Halloween Hike!

Let's get in costume, meet up and hike the paved trails of Hidden Falls and Crosby Farm Parks along this section of the Mississippi River. Expect to hike about 2 hours at a moderate pace.

Please note:

• Its Halloween, but it's still a hike: drinking water, a quick-energy snack, footwear suitable for hiking on paved and unpaved trails and clothing appropriate for the season are a good idea. Sunset and civil twilight will pass as the spooky things come out (and as we hike) so a headlamp or small flashlight is recommended.

• We are a hiking meetup, not a party meetup: if you are under the influence, want to smoke weed or act obnoxious or compromise the safety of others, find another meetup event. Unfortunately this has occurred in the past, so its worth saying, such conduct has no place in this hiking meetup.

• Be thoughtful of others: if everyone were to bail at the last minute, it would be a very spooky and lonely hike; "No Shows" will be haunted!

• This will be a No Pets, No Kids, No +1's hike; everyone hiking must be an adult, a member of this meetup and agree to the liability waiver question.

Celebrate Halloween with BareBones Productions 21st Annual Halloween Outdoor Puppet Extravaganza at Hidden Falls Regional Park. 7:00 PM Tickets are $5-$20 suggested donation.

Since 1993, BareBones Productions has presented The Annual Halloween Outdoor Puppet Extravaganza, a community-created spectacle pageant of larger-than-life puppetry, drama, stilting, dance, fire, song, and music that honors the circle of life by celebrating its seasonal arc of death in the Fall. After the performance, the audience joins the cast in enjoying hot food and drink served by Sisters’ Camelot (http://www.sisterscamelot.org/), Minneapolis’ free organic food distribution collective, and raucous dancing with live music performed by local bands including Gypsy Brass-Americana party legends, the Brass Messengers (http://www.brassmessengers.com/).
