Announcing a new Meetup for Twin Cities Rock Climbing Meetup Group!

What: Anchors & Rockin at Taylor's Falls

When: August 23,[masked]:30 AM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Summer is flying by and we all want to get outside climbing in, but first we have to know what we're doing! Vertical Endeavors offers these outdoor workshops to teach you how to set up top ropes and then climb on them. Here are the details from their website:

ANCHORS / ROCKIN':
Climbing Anchors
This four-hour hands-on workshop is devoted to teaching you how to properly construct a standard climbing anchor system. You will practice correct placement of artificial anchors, the use of natural features and appropriate equalization for top-rope set-ups. This is a highly interactive seminar focusing on anchor building not climbing. Those participants wishing to climb are invited to join the Rockin' Outdoors class on the same day at a discounted rate. No previous climbing experience is required.
Rockin' Outdoors
Grab your friends and head out to the crag for a great day in the sun! This introductory lesson will teach you the basics of outdoor rock climbing. Topics covered include: knot tying, belaying, terminology, equipment use and climbing techniques with a strong emphasis on safety. This popular course is a great way to experience outdoor climbing for the first time. No previous climbing experience is required.

Call Vertical Endeavors at[masked] to reserve your spot.

We also were thinking about camping there, but Interstate Park is full. Let me know ASAP if you want to find alternative camping arrangements such as Wild River and we can reserve a camp site. Otherwise it is only 45 minutes away and you can easily drive to and from in one day. Carpooling is always a good idea :)
