New Salsa Dancing Lesson Series

Join members of the Twin Cities Salsa Dancing Meetup Group for this fun series of salsa lessons at the Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis.

Let the Latin beat move your body. Learn some new dance moves and become the confident and versatile salsa dancer that everybody wants to dance with. Be yourself and let your personality shine in an exciting conversation with a friendly and fun group of people.


Social dance hour every Monday after class- FREE
Dance, Socialize, Eat, Have a glass of wine: 9 PM-12.30 AM.

  • Where: La Bodega is conveniently located on the corner of Lake St./ Lyndale Ave S. in Uptown just 7 blocks from the dance studio.
  • Happy hour. Selected bottles of wines ½ price off. Quench your thirst with a mojito or a glass of wine.
  • Kitchen is Open till 11 PM.Taste some delicious tapas Italian and sea food.



New six-week Salsa dance series starts Monday, December 29.
  • There are two lessons each week:

    • Beginners III-Casino de Rueda #1: 7:30-8:50 PM
      Chapel room -Second floor
    • Intermediate LA #5: 8:30-9:50 PM
      Sunroom - First floor

    If you want to take your dancing skills to the next level as quick and as efficient - as possible, we do recommend looking into taking a series of private lessons. This is personalized one on one coaching designed to let you achieve your individual goals.     Please note:

    • Group classes are organized in series. Each series consist of 6 weeks.
    • To get the best results and move together as a group it is good to come to at least 4 of the 6 weeks in the series.
    • Beginners level class consist of 4/x6 weeks/ series that will teach you the basic footwork, turns, body posture and simple easy to lead combinations of 4 different styles of Salsa: LA part I, LA part II, Cuban Casino Rueda and Cumbia.
    • Intermidiate level consist of 9+ different series. Here you will learn timing, musicality, men`s and ladies styling, fancy footwork, body-movement, correct spinning technique, advanced combinations, patterns and variations.

      The instructor was very late to arrive. I am also a dance instructor and that should never happen. He seemed to be poorly prepared, although he knew he subject. The class was too large for the Chapel Studio, although the Sunroom sat empty and unused. I was also of the impression that this meetup was to be social as well as instruction to learn salsa dance. There is too much of a wait for those attending the first lesson until after later lesson to meetup with others at the club at Lyndale and Lake. The cost of $15/person is high compared to what is being given.
