Two Wheel Jones is happy to offer our patrons a "C"-ride. This ride is intended for newer riders looking to learn the techniques of an advanced ride or experienced riders looking for a slower pace or a recovery ride. You must have an operational road bike, helmet, items need for a flat tire change, water, and snack.
The pace will average 15 mph. The distance will vary from 20-30 miles, depending on our start time (Your ride leader needs to be back at the shop by 8:30!)
Much like the A- and B-group ride, we will ride together, as a group and usually in double-file paceline, to a destination. Depending on the route, we may split off for a portion of the route for folks to test themselves on a hill or "segment". We will always regroup and ride back in together as a group.
Our first priority is safety so please ride smart and observe all the basic rules of road riding etiquette:
call out hazards in the road
do not overlap wheels
stop for stop lights, stop signs
Our second priority since we will be introducing some new riders the techniques of the advanced ride is education:
we will coach new riders through the flow of the double paceline and the single-file rotating paceline we will guide ALL the riders on pacing - our goal is to ride as a group and have fun TOGETHER. This is a no-drop ride. We will make ALL riders feel comfortable in a group, riding side-by-side and in the draft.
After the ride let's stop to have a cup of Joe together!!
