Some of us were talking recently about how to improve our kids' riding, and enthusiasm for it, beyond the limited daily practice on the school run and thought we’d give a weekend morning session a try. The idea is for a parent and child to show up at an agreed cycling spot - we’ll choose places with parking at the start point and a good flat circular route, ideally with a café either at the start/end or en route. We take part in the ride together to help improve confidence and bike handling skills. We're aiming at younger riders (aged 4-6) for whom nothing like this really exists. We meet at 10.30am on Sundays in Bushy Park. Kids will need to be proficient enough to ride unaided for at least 15 minutes on the flat. We'll start by the car park. Whilst it will be a fun get together, and we hope the kids will ride in a group, this is not a supervised ride so you will need to accompany and supervise your own child. There will be some limited first aid, so if you are concerned please bring your own... Disclaimer: Riding can be dangerous. Any rides we organise are done on a casual basis and we cannot assume any liability for your participation. By participating, you agree for yourself, your heirs, executors and administrators to waive any and all claims for personal injury and/or damage that you may have against any of the organisers.
