What and where:

After a break in August, we're back for UCD Bristol 21, on Wednesday 18th September. This month we have a talk by Claudia Loch, UX Designer at RBS Digital Studio.

We will be at Framework co working space - 35 King Street, BS1 4DZ. As usual, we've got you covered with pizza, beers and soft drinks.

*UCD Bristol is organised by Evolve and People For Research* This event is also sponsored by Rocketmakers. Rocketmakers design, develop and deploy award winning apps, websites and software for new startups, growing scale-ups and large corporate innovators.

A note about RSVPS:

Please note that we're trying hard to stop no-shows so that our growing monthly wait listed guests get a chance to attend. If you RSVP, but your plans change, please make an effort to update your Meetup profile at least 3 hours prior to the event.

We've been tracking no-shows for the last few months and from this event, if you've no-showed more than 3 times, you'll be placed at the bottom of the list with priority given to wait listers.

Our talk this month:
UX Design: See the big picture & get better at decision-making

We've all been there, the client (or stakeholder) needs a quick answer about an important feature and there is no time to lose. In this talk I will explain the mystery of how User Experience experts are able to make tough decisions under time pressure and uncertainty. How can you improve your decision-making process?

About the speaker:
Claudia has a PhD in Art and Technology and nine years experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams for a wide variety of projects in digital technology. She was working at Audiogum, a B2B tech company in Bristol specialised in smart solutions for audio. Her latest research harnesses the power of music helping customers to maintain a competitive advantage. Now she is working at RBS Digital Studio.
