UHN Toastmasters, Club 1188896, Area 4, Division A, District 60
***Guests and Visitors are WELCOME! No need to RSVP or join on Meetup, just drop by!***
Who: This club is OPEN to all members of the public. You do NOT have to be an employee of the University Health Network. Our membership consists of undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Toronto and Ryerson University, staff at UHN, retirees, professionals from other workplaces in the downtown core, and others from all walks of life. People in our club range from those new to Toastmasters and those who are very experienced; native English speakers and those who are not.
Why: Each of us has joined Toastmasters to overcome our fear of public speaking, improve our communication skills, develop our leadership traits, and meet other people. We hope you will join us by visiting one of our weekly meetings!
What: Develop communication and leadership skills in a low-stress, low-cost environment. Fit attendance around your schedule. Check out our UHN-TM Welcome Package to get more familiarized with the club and how things work at Toastmasters. Sign a Membership Application.
Where: UHN Toastmasters Club Meetings take place in Toronto General Hospital, 200 Elizabeth Street, Room EN1-429/430 close to the Eaton Elevators on the 1st Floor. Toronto General Hospital is connected to Queen's Park Subway Station.
Regardless of the entrance you use to get into the hospital, make your way to the Eaton Elevators. Reach the 1st floor level (i.e. the University Avenue level). At the north end of the elevator lobby is a set of double doors. Go through those double doors and find our regular room, EN1-429/30 straight ahead.
When: Every Wednesday from 6PM. Meetings end between 7:30PM and 8PM, depending on the number of speakers and activities scheduled for that evening.
