  • If you came to our last AzureCraft on Saturday 4th June then you don't want to miss this one. We're putting on another Minecraft experience teaching programming to the younger generation. If you have kids then join us in Kings Cross on December 10th and learn how to program Minecraft through Python and Java.

The day is free and breakfast, coffee and lunch is served all day. To register sign up at Eventbrite here - this is the only way you can be guaranteed a place:

    https://azurecraftxmas2016.eventbrite.co.uk

This time around it isn't a two day event but stay reading for CloudBrew which will occur the day before and will be developer and beer-related!
    Thanks.

Sounds like a great event! What is the minimum age for children to attend? My kids are 7 and 9 and would love to attend but I'm not sure if it will be too advanced for them.

Thanks Richard, sounds great. Is one laptop/one copy of Minecraft between us ok?

There does not seem to be a way to add my kids for tickets on Eventbrite?

What coding experience must the child have? I'm thinking of taking my cousin who has spent a few hours playing with a BBC Micro Bit doing python, and I am worried that this will be over her head? We would be coming from Nottingham so I'd like to make sure there is value in her attending at her very novice level - Last thing I want is to scare her away from coding! Cheers

      Hi Oliver,

That should be fine. I'm going to publish an agenda shortly but we'll be looking the following labs so the skill levels will vary based on the what the kids want to do. So, writing your name in blocks with Python and building buildings from blocks in Python code, writing your first mod in Java, building an AI "Steve" using project malmo, building and controlling an autonomous drone using the computercraft mod. We'll also have a large minecraft server for the kids to chill out over lunch and breaks. Your cousin should have no problem, we'll go at whatever level they are at :-)

Do we register once or for each parent / child?

    • Richard C.

Hi Andrew, one ticket for yourself and 2 kids should be fine.
