Geocaching is a fun modern treasure hunt using GPS technology to find hidden containers all over the world. An excuse to get out walking, find new places, the challenge of finding something hidden by others.
This gives us an excuse to stop of at local pubs and cafes for refreshment and friendships. Suitable for all ages. (Children welcome when accompanied by an adult)
This group is set up so that geocachers of any experience level can meet others who are fairly local and enjoy it with the company of friends.
Any member of the group can suggest an event for the others, as we are now getting fairly large as a group so not all events may be local to you.
Although the groups shows as from Coventry, we are actually from all over the place. We need to have a location of the organiser, and Adam who set this up lives in Coventry...
My penultimate date to fill! See my meetup on the 16th for the final day.
I've spotted that Berkswell is the start of a 3 3/4 mile loop of 13 caches (12 traditional and 1 multi) based on the Millenium Way. There are also other multis and a phone box trad in the village.
Meet in the village at the car part which is the GC4BWR7 Parking and also the location of clues for the GCQRHA multi.
On this day I will hopefully have completed both calendars (I completed the cache hidden date one last year!)
I'm hosting a geocaching event in Burbage 12:00 - 2:00 https://coord.info/GC81RRB so please come to that first but perhaps we follow it with some 'nearby' caching with you lot? (From a village called Dunton Bassett, not Lutterworth as meetup suggests).
Sorry I've done most of the series nearer the event so this one is about the nearest series remaining (about a 9 mile drive).
