Speaker: Sven Junkergard
In the health care and life sciences area, creating a view consisting of all relevant data, rather than just those sources that are easy to work with, opens up some really exciting opportunities for data analysis. Zephyr Health has created a platform that allows for fast integration and visualization of disparate data sources, even when reliable keys are not present. This talk will go through the foundations for this technology as well as showcase one of the underlying algorithms used that was developed by Funmi Fapohunda, a recent graduate from USF's Analytics program.
Sven has a background both in the consulting world as well as being part of the management team for several technology startups giving him exposure to a broad range of industries and technology. Managing technology organizations is Sven’s specialty; what he likes the most is taking a concept from the initial vision to a full-featured product by building strong engineering teams that can deliver that vision. This involves solving many technical as well as practical challenges and the resulting complexity is something that Sven thrives on. During his consulting years, Sven spent a number of years focusing on creating integrated enterprise architectures, which is not strange for someone who likes to organize just about anything.
