Venue description:

We will climb staircases built in the 1920s and 1940s at a moderate pace. They were constructed by residential developers to provide access for home buyers to go up and down to a school, market, church or public transportation. Our hike is based on Charles Fleming's book "Secret Stairs of Los Angeles" #36 and #37. There is a lot of LA history on this hike and we will share with you some Hollywood legends, stories of the 'rich and famous', catch a glimpse of 1920s era cottages and have great fun discovering some crazy small streets. There will be a number of stops for photo opportunities. We will finish this event with a picnic lunch at the delightful Camrose Park.
