Chris Constandse - International UX Consultant - Backbase

With over 9 years of experience in multiple industries, from travel to influencer marketing, Chris is focused on creating human-centred design solutions to relevant and modern problems.

Mark Wittkampf - Principal UX Consultant and Chapter Lead - Backbase

Mark is the manager of the UX team of the Customer Success department at Backbase.

In this talk Mark and Chris will share insights into how Backbase apply Service Design to the international banking industry. Together they will share their definition of Service Design and a select amount of international case studies where the principles of Service Design where applied.

Ashlee Valdes - UX Strategy, Design Research and Consultant

Ashlee is a researcher by nature and a design thinker by heart. The culmination of these three characteristics led her to service design, where she uses the methodology to develop new technology as a project manager and coach. She has worked in the innovation labs at Amsterdam software agency INFO and in fintech with Thomson Reuter’s Labs in Cape Town, South Africa.

Together with the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, INFO Labs has worked on several prototypes which have explored new forms of way finding for visually impaired persons through design research and UX. Ashlee will speak on these cases and how service design was the foundation to produce usable human technology.

Niels Corsten - Service Design Lead - Koos Service Design

Niels is a service designer with a cum laude double master degree in design from the Delft University of Technology. After being part of the introduction of the first new bank in The Netherlands in 32 years, called ‘bunq’, he was determined to apply his design thinking skills in other industries.

Niels is currently Service Design Lead at Koos Service Design and has contributed to service design projects in the industries of telecom, aviation, banking, mobility, insurance, FMCG, real estate and governmental services. He is currently involved in many projects regarding the implementation and adoption of service design thinking in organisations, working with the creation of toolkits, training programs and on-the-job coaching.
