March is about Seductive UX Design at UXPerth

Hi All

This month we are looking at the seductive end of interactive design.   In some ways this is an area that people just don't talk about.   The way an interaction can entice and tease a user into just exploring a little bit more, reading that extra paragraph, maybe just playing with putting that desired item into the shopping basket.  This persuasive art to many is seen as the black hat of UX.  Well this month we are getting down and dirty with it all.

The seed book is  Stephen Anderson - Seductive Interaction Design: Creating Playful, Fun, and Effective User Experiences

Note that Stephen did a talk in 2011 at Web Directions that somewhat relates - Sustaining Passionate Users

As usual you can skype in, just let us know in advance if you are going to do this, so we can be ready.

When: Monday, March 12, 2012, 7:00 PM

Where: The Oxford Hotel368 Oxford Street, Leederville

Cost: FREE

April - Gamification

The seed book for is month is Gamification by Design By Gabe Zichermann
