Do you have a favorite UX/IA/UI book?

Truth be told I'm not a big reader -- I've always preferred to learn by doing and studying others' work. I read my share of blog posts and articles, but there probably isn't a UX/design book that I've read from cover to cover. Joining a book club then seems like a strange thing to do, but I'm interested in meeting others in the profession, and having a chance to talk shop outside of my current work.

What do you do (or want to do) in the UX field?

Being on the agency side, I've worked in a pretty wide variety of projects. Regardless of who I'm working for, I get most excited when I get to work with other smart people and solve a pretty complex problem. It doesn't have to be about a clever UI design -- it's about blending the best effort from engineering, design, and copy. Also, I definitely prefer working on consumer facing products.

UX designer in Chicago. I have a product design degree, so that's the approach I take with my UX work.
