Workshop #1: How to develop your idea into a happy, thriving business

Hi guys,

We're starting a series of evening classes for budding entrepreneurs, designers and those curious about entrepreneurship, and we're delighted to announce this first class with The Happy Startup School, where we'll teach you how to go from idea to launch putting emphasis on speed, low risk and low cost.

Here's more info of the first workshop below, hope you can make it:

Life is short, it's time you stop dreaming, start doing. We're here to help you gain the confidence and skills you need to start your own happy, thriving business in 2014.

Whether you're a designer, developer, budding startup founder or just curious about the startup world this workshop will teach you how to take your ideas forward and give you a great starting point for thinking like an entrepreneur. You'll be on your way to building a happy startup in no time!

Join us

This is a fun, interactive evening class to help budding entrepreneurs start building businesses people love. We'll teach you the steps it takes to go from that lightbulb moment in your head to launch, all in a 3 hour hands on session.

What you'll learn

You'll get inspired, learn some innovative tools and techniques and connect with likeminded people in a fun, friendly session with hosts, the founders of Spook Studio and The Happy Startup School Laurence McCahill & Carlos Saba.

Get ready to go from plan A to a Plan that works.

We'll teach you a process of doing that can be applied to any startup or innovative idea, a key system that you'll be able to use again and again to cut costs and focus on speed. An introduction to lean methodologies with a focus on your vision and purpose.

We'll show you:

• How to quickly document your business plan on one page

• Why passion & purpose are important in business (and how you can define yours)

• How to start with user needs and problems, not solutions

• How to visualise your audience

• Advice on testing and validating your idea at low cost

• How to define your minimum viable loveable product :)

How do I get a ticket?

Limited ticket availability (early birds sold out) £65 + VAT Just RSVP to secure a spot

*Please note you are not guaranteed a spot until your ticket is bought. Please bring along proof of purchase*

Numbers are limited (just 20 attendees max) so snap up a spot fast. We ask that all attendees come with a startup idea (made up is fine, a real one is better!) that you'd like to explore on the day. Session will take place in the very inspiring Hub Kings Cross boardroom.

You'll get a chance to ask questions throughout and connect with likeminded people. We'll share relevant resources afterwards so you can take your learning forward.

This session will be run by the founders of Spook Studio (a startup consultancy & innovation studio) – Laurence McCahill (design lead) and Carlos Saba(technical lead).

You'll get a chance to ask questions throughout and connect with likeminded people. We'll share relevant resources afterwards so you can take your learning forward.
