May 15th - 26th, 2024
Just $2,695 with 10-nights deluxe hotels and ALL TOURS - LAND ONLY*
We'll be kicking this trip off with Prague for 4 nights, a city that has become one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. You will absolutely love our hotel here, the Hotel Rott, located just steps from of the Old Towne and very elegant - completely worthy of all of it's 4-stars.
We’ll wander around Old Town Square with its many wonderful Gothic and baroque buildings. We’ll see the famous 15th-century astronomical clock at the Old Town Hall. Every hour, crowds assemble below to watch Christ and the twelve Apostles appear at two little windows above the clock face, followed by the skeleton of Death tolling the bell. In the evenings we’ll find some of Europe’s best jazz venues, excellent opera, and innovative theater.
Tours in Prague will include a full day on tour to two amazing places, one which is a World Heritage Site! We'll start off at Kutna Hora. The historic centre is one of the country's prettiest and the gothic cathedral of St Barbara arguably the country's most spectacular. Our second stop is to Cesky Sternberk, set on the steep stony bank of the Sázavar. Called the "Pearl of Posázaví" by a romantic poet [Posázaví is the region around the river], the castle was built in 1241 by Zdeslav of Divišov, and given the name "Šternberk" according to the custom of the day.
After our 4-nights in Prague we'lll bus to Vienna. Along the way we'll visit the amazing medieval town of Cesky Krumlov. This Unesco world heritage site is one of the most scenic towns you will ever visit. Vienna is known for their medieval streets and magnificent cathedrals and palaces, along with being home of some of the most famous composers including Mozart, Strauss and Tchaikovsky. Magnificent Hofburg Palace, Belvedere Palace, extensive gardens, museums, music, architecture, trendy clubs and restaurants are all waiting for us.
On our first full day we'll enjoy the Belvedere gardens - Schönbrunn Palace. We'll visit the Vienna Woods a very scenic area, to hear stories of "Singing Monks" or about the tragedy of Mayerling. We'll then visit the Abbey of Heiligenkreuz. a beautiful and living Cistercian monastery.
On our second day we'll take a full day tour with our bus plus a nice boat ride on the Danube to visit the beauty of the Wachau. The Danube winds his way past charming old villages and steep vineyards. We'll visit the Abbey of Melk and enjoy the former Imperial Rooms, the Marble Hall, the balcony and the library.
Finally, we'll take the hydrofoil from Vienna to Budapest.
On our first day we'll enjoy first a walking tour. This tour will take us to the Caste District, Gellért hill and Heroes' square. We will have the option to visit Matthias church as well. Then we'll get on our bus and visit the Central market and enjoy some free time for lunch there. From there we will go to the cave church which is very interesting and unique since the church is inside a natural cave. We will then go to the Parliament area and then St. Stephen Basilica.
On our second day we'll go on the "Bends of the Danube" tour. The tour goes along the river Danube to the north from the capital to the Danube Bend. The first stop is Esztergom which is the ecclesiastical centre of Hungary and has the largest Roman Catholic church of the country. After visiting this majestic building the tour goes on to Visegrad which used to be Royal Residence and where the ruins of a 13th century fortress can be found and you may enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the river Danube as well and get acquainted with the rich history. The last town is the charming, baroque artists' village of Szentendre which has a very special architecture and atmosphere due the great number of Serbian refuges settling here in the 17th century.
Cost, with 10-nights hotel accommodation (double occ.), daily breakfast, all tours described here, all ground transportation between cities, hydrofoil just $2,695. That’s a terrific group rate for this incredible vacation. $200 deposit to lock in your spot.

CALL 800.954.5453 to speak with someone about this trip - France with Paris and BurgundyParis, Paris
SEPTEMBER 18th - 29th, 2024
10-Nights, International Air, Wine Tasting Tours, Ground Transportation and Great hotels just $4,250We start off with 4-nights in Paris, France's capital. Paris is a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Welcome to the mesmerizing realm of Paris, a city where every cobblestone holds whispers of history and every avenue unfurls a tapestry of experiences.
Each neighborhood is a world of its own, a unique chapter in this epic novel of art, culture, and life. From the bohemian spirit of Montmartre to the timeless elegance of the Latin Quarter and the ancient heartbeat of the Ile de la Cité, Paris city is a kaleidoscope of emotions waiting to be explored. Our hotel is perfectly situated, just a 15-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and some of the best sites.
We'll set up optional tours to visit the Louvre, Notre-Dame, Palace of Versailles, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées. There's so much to do and see but we'll make every effort to offer the best of Paris. Here's a website that will give you a good idea of things to do. Give us some time to work out the details and we're sure you'll be delighted with our itinerary.
From there we head south into Burgundy and our wine tasting portion of this trip. And it's more than wine tasting - you'll enjoy these charming towns and scenery along with way as well. We'll have 2-stops of 3-nights each with 6 visits to the best wineries in the area - all included in your package! We've done quite a bit of research and have consulted with a local guide and wine tour expert to set up these visits. Winery tours in Burgundy are normally quite pricey so we're sure our trip with these tours included is an amazing value. We'll stay in Dijon, in the heart of Burgundy for 3-nights. On our way we'll begin our wine tour with a stop in Chablis.
Dijon is the capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-making areas. It’s known for its traditional mustard, vineyard tours, autumn gastronomic fair and building styles ranging from Gothic to art deco. The distinguished 1787 Musée des Beaux-Arts, housed in the vast Palace of the Dukes, holds a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, crafts and antiquities. If you love cities filled with beautiful, historic buildings and if you love fantastic food and wonderful wines, museums, galleries, sitting at terraced cafés watching the world go by as you sip a delicious local wine, impossibly fabulous street markets, great wine bars and a vibrant friendly vibe – then add Dijon to your must see list. Cobbled streets, grand squares, half-timbered houses, a huge palace, narrow alleyways lined with medieval buildings and even a magic owl.
We will enjoy a day tour to Beaune in the heart of Burgundy with a visit to a winery. This French city (which is pronounced 'bun') is gateway not only to the Burgundy wine region, but also to the wine regions of Beaujolais to the south and Champagne to the north. The city was well established as a wine trading post by the 13th century. We may also set up an optional bicycling tour that seems like a wonderful way to get some exercise and explore the region as well as taste more wines!
From Dijon we'll continue south to the city of Lyon. In route we'll make a stop at another winery in the Beaujolais area. A UNESCO World Heritage Site with 2,000 years of history. Lyon is France's third-largest city, and offers today's urban explorers a wealth of enticing experiences. We'll enjoy our 3-days in Lyon with all the fantastic sight-seeing opportunities including the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, Musée des Beaux-Arts, Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, Place des Terreaux. Here's a cool article: Why Lyon is one of France's most underrated cites. We will have a guided walking tour of Lyon on the 27th and then a full day tour of the countryside and Rhone Valley on the 28th. We will visit Pérouges, a commune in the in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Eastern France. A medieval walled town perched on a small hill that overlooks the plain of the river Ain. THIS TRIP IS BEING RUN BY SINGLES IN PARADISE - Slovenia vacationLjubljana, Ljubljana
October 2nd - 13th, 2024
10-nights, great hotels, daily breakfast and air from LAX - Just $3,450Slovenia is the only country in Europe that combines the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Pannonian Plain and the Karst. The changing landscape is constantly surprising, time and again. You can have one eye on the sea, then look in the other direction and be surrounded by high mountains. You will be hearing more and more about Slovenia in the near future I'm sure of it. Please check out the links and photos on this webpage and get ready for another wonderful Europe trip with unbelievable scenery, history and adventure tours. I'm very proud of this trip as it is a completely custom itinerary that will take us to the most scenic places in this beautiful country.
Our trip will take us from Bled in the north to visit the Julian alps for 4-nights then the center of Slovenia to visit the capital of Ljubljana for 3-nights and then finally to the coast to Portoroz for 3-nights giving us a nice, fairly complete tour of this amazing country.
We'll start off with Lake Bled, home of the Julian Alps. Bled is located on a beautiful lake. The resort town of Bled, with its legendary island in the middle of the lake and its clifftop castle, its hot springs and its pleasant climate, has been attracting cosmopolitan visitors for centuries. We'll plan on offering a boat tour, a cycling tour, which was a highlight of our last trip, and some hiking. You can also go horseback riding, kayaking and much more. More info on Bled activities.Next stop is the capital city of Ljubljana. It's located along a river on which the mythological Argonauts carried the Golden Fleece. This is a city with the rich heritage of Roman Emona, a city that was once the capital of the Province of Carniola and the capital of Napoleon’s Illyrian Provinces. Its Renaissance, Baroque, and especially Art Nouveau facade boasts the greatest exhibition of the architecture of the master Jože Plečnik—all this is Ljubljana.
We will set up optional day trips to some of the attractions in the area around Ljubljana that include Iški Vintgar, a gorge with picturesque pools that is reached by passing through the unique landscape of the Ljubljansko Barje wetland, a protected regional park. You can also visit the climatic health resort of Rakitna, a plateau with a lake and a marked circular walking trail, Borovnica and Pekel Gorge, with its waterfalls and rapids. Close by is Vrhnika, from where Napoleon's Avenue, lined by ancient lindens, leads to Logatec. We have hired Diana, the same tour guide that we've had on our last 2 trips. You will love her!
Finally, we make our way south to the coast and to the town of Portoroz. This scenic town is just a few kilometers away from the Italian town of Trieste and also right next door to Croatia. There are more than eight thousand karst caves and sinkholes in Slovenia. Here the towns of Piran, Izola, and Koper draw visitors with their medieval cores, while Portorož, though mentioned as early as 1251, offers numerous modern hotels with congress halls, a fully equipped marina, a sport airport, thermal baths, a casino, and a varied offer of summer cultural, entertainment, and sport events. The Skocjan Caves, which are on UNESCO's list of natural and cultural world heritage sites, boast the 1400-meter long and 150-meter deep underground canyon of the Reka River. So we'll definitely be setting up optional tour to visit the caves but you will also enjoy some free time in this area too to visit either Italy or Croatia or just stroll along the Mediterranean coastline.
All of our hotels on this trip have been chosen with care and will be certain to meet your expectations from Singles in Paradise. Plus this trip is a true bargain with a cost hundreds of dollars less than other Europe trips. As always, early signups will qualify for any potential room upgrades
