We've been thinking about the quality of being unhurried. There’s a lot of pressure to get a move on in life, but the best craftsmanship and the wiser life choices are made when we’re able to pause and reflect. This is an experiment in hosting conversations designed to have a gentler pace, fewer interruptions and a more reflective spirit.
In an unhurried conversation, there is time to think differently and connect with people in a refreshing way. Unhurried isn't always slow, but it has a pace where people find it easy to join in and not feel crowded out. And listening can be as satisfying as talking.
Reserve your seat, and bring a topic for conversation if you wish. We'll use a simple format to create good, human interaction.
Conversation begins at 11:45 and lasts for as long as 90 minutes. You can order lunch or drinks at the restaurant, though there is no requirement to do so. There are a maximum of 12 attendees at this conversation. You will receive a note from me when you have reserved a seat at the table. If we are full, I will let you know you are on the waiting list. Please let me know if you registered and find out you are unable to attend, so I can let other’s know of the openings.
