We behold the Light in you and we invite you to join our loving community that celebrates together our love of God, of each other, and all of life.

Unity teaches that each person is a unique expression of God created with sacred worth. Living from that awareness transforms our lives and the world.

Unity emphasizes the creative power of thought in our life experience. We refer to this as the Law of Mind Action. When we take personal responsibility to choose life affirming thoughts, words and actions, we experience a more fulfilling and abundant life.

Unity emphasizes the importance of applying spiritual principles in our daily lives.

Unity teachings continue to evolve as we identify, embrace and apply spiritual insights and the spiritual implications of new discoveries.

Unity is a non-denominational Christ-based community and, as its name implies, welcomes and cherishes all people. Our greeting to each other is “Namaste,” meaning “I behold the Light in You.”

Our Vision is: Centered in Divine Love we celebrate a spiritually transformed world.

Our Mission is: Unity of Greater Portland reaches in to reach out through education, service and creation of community.

Silent Saturday

Unity Of Greater Portland

Silent Saturday with Jack Seery This is an opportunity to enter into silence, meditate in our newly blooming gardens and open yourself to the Divine Presence. In this supportive atmosphere, you will be able to put aside the preoccupations of daily living and listen to the inner movement of Spirit. During the day, you will be alone to engage in whatever form of meditation suits you. There will also be a couple periods in which you will have the opportunity to sit in silence with others. Lunch will be provided. This is offered on a love offering basis (Retreat and Lunch) Bio: Jack Seery has been a member of Unity of Greater Portland for 11 years. He has been on the spiritual journey since 1957 and presently claims dual spiritual citizenship. He is guided by the prophetic way of Jesus and Christian mystical tradition and the wisdom of other traditions. Over the years, he has been a spiritual guide for many, a teacher of spirituality, active in feeding the homeless and has engaged in various nonviolent actions including public fast, civil disobedience and a weekly public witness for peace. He lives with his partner, Brigit, in Waterboro, Maine.
