What we're about

Unity of Sacramento is a non-denominational ministry led by the Rev. Kevin Kitrell Ross based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Recognized for its outstanding spiritual teachings, conscious expanding meditations, world-class music, and powerful prayer ministries, Unity of Sacramento has more than 600 congregants.

*****

In accordance with the first principle of Unity as taught by co-founders Myrtle and Charles Fillmore, Unity of Sacramento believes that there is only one power and presence of God, and that God loves each one of us equally. We, therefore, honor the many names for God, the many paths to God, and the many ways to worship God.

*****

There are no requirements to join Unity of Sacramento other than to know God and to understand, love, and accept His law of being. Unity leaves you wholly free to live your life according to the inspiration and guidance of the spirit of truth within you.

*****

Unity is a positive path for spiritual living, providing practical teachings to help people live healthy, prosperous and meaningful lives. We teach the effective daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ. Unity has established spiritual communities of study throughout the world where people discover and practice the Unity way of life. We address physical, mental and emotional needs through affirmative prayer and spiritual education. We serve those who seek inspiration and prayer support as well as those who use Unity teachings as their primary path of spiritual growth.

*****

We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. Our ministries and outreaches are inclusive and open-minded, free of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability and sexual orientation.

*****

We honor all paths to God as we provide a philosophy that is spiritual, not religious; and love-based, not fear-based. We strive to help individuals have a stronger connection to God every day by helping them to feel empowered, accepted, loved, inspired and connected.

Group Guided Meditation

Unity of Sacramento

Meditation is more than just a great way to reduce stress. It also helps you transform your life to a higher spiritual level. Practicing meditation, allows you to quiet your outside mind, so you can clearly connect with your higher-self and receive the guidance and healing you desire. This meeting is lead by Linda WhiteEagle, a member of Unity of Sacramento. She has practiced meditation for the past fifteen years and she has been teaching and writing her own meditations since 2008. Linda published her book, Growing Your Soul Through The Power Of Your Spirit—A Book Of Meditations, in 2013. Her book is available for purchase in the Namaste Bookstore and Cafe. These weekly meetings are offered on a Love Offering basis

Wednesday Prayer Circle

Unity of Sacramento

You are invited to join others who gather weekly for prayer. The Wednesday Prayer Circle meets each week in the Peace Chapel from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The group leader uses Silent Unity’s monthly prayers and affirmations, and each person shares their prayers with the group. This group has been meeting for over 45 years to pray using Unity’s affirmative prayer method and positive, uplifting affirmations to support their intentions and prayers. The prayer group is guided by their mission statement which reads: "Our prayer ministry is dedicated to the Truth consciousness in faith and love. We pray for the good of our church, individuals, and situations knowing that God is in charge. As we pray, we open ourselves and others to the higher consciousness of God’s good. Using affirmative prayer and thanksgiving we become part of God’s positive flow."

Sunday Contemplative Service

Unity of Sacramento

If you enjoy the more traditional service and a quieter, gentler expression of the Spirit of God, then please join us in the Contemplative Service. Here we share in the classic hymns, the more reflective sermons, and provide a space for our early risers to greet the day with Divine Light glowing from the inside out.

Sunday Meditation Service

Unity of Sacramento

Join us each Sunday at 10:15 am (immediately following the Contemplative Service) in the Peace Chapel for an in-depth, guided meditation experience with our trained prayer chaplains, Licensed Unity Teachers, and ministers. A sacred space, a gentle voice, soothing sounds, and the stillness awaits you each week, as you take further steps on your spiritual journey.
