For the many wine lovers out there there is now a way you can learn about all those fancy terms that the wine pros are always talking about. I discovered adult education series on Saturdays at San Francisco City College. The first class, Basics for Beginners, is on February 23rd from 1-3pm.
Class description: In a two-hour class you taste 20 wines and learn the terms. You apply it to the five basic types of wines and learn how they are made. You will also, find out what the labels do and don't tell you.
Space Is Limited and the cost is $40 if you register one week before the class. After that it is $55. The class is called: Wine Tasting: Basics for Beginners and is class #: FW322. The instructor is Edgar Vogt. The location is Fort Mason Bldg. B Rm: 106. You can register for the class here: http://www.ccsf.edu/Services/Continuing_Education/texts/wine/fw322.html
Sounds like a good deal for $40! Hope to see you there. For those who want to walk down we can meet at Sacramento and Franklin around 12:30 pm.
