Bike around Manhattan Island!

Hi all,
I will be co-leading a 32-mile ride around Manhattan Island's Greenway with the East Coast Greenway Alliance on August 3, 9:00AM.
In previous years, we've had from 16 - 65 people of all levels of ability. You should be able to maintain a pace of 10-13mph for several hours, though we do stop for lunch.
Details here: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/east-coast-greenways-manhattan-loop-ride-2014-tickets-11041755187
START: East River Greenway entrance @ 60th St. & York Ave. - meet at the lower dog run inside this entrance
FINISH: East River Greenway @ E 34th St. & FDR Drive

Thanks for coming, everyone! We had a great ride. Don't forget the October Circle the Hudson Ride too, which I'll also be co-leading. http://www.eventbrite.com/o/east-coast-greenway-alliance-2079141823

Hello. At what pace is the bike ride? Easy pedal or fast or race speed? Thank you

We go 10-12 mph and stop for lunch about halfway. The whole ride usually takes about 4 hours, including lunch.

do you mean at 60th St., not 6th St. Your start says "East River Greenway entrance @ 60th & York."

Yes, 60th, not 6th. 60th and East Greenway is just after the U.N. Gap if you are going counter-clockwise, as we are on this ride. Starting here avoids the worst gap until the very end, when the group tends to dwindle down to half the starting size, or less, and is more guidable through First and York Avenues - the official U.N. Gap detour.
