*Yawwnn*... Who else needs a coffee-fueled, mentally stimulating pick-me-up to kick off a (hopefully) productive day?
We’ve been looking for an excuse to casually get all of us together more often, and mob rushing our local cafés to get our caffeine and pastry fix without giving them any kind of warning sounded like a flawless idea… or at least a good-enough one to start with.
So, over the next month, our “UX Awesome” crew are going to be sporadically planning coffee catch-ups at our nearby cafés and inviting anyone to come and groggily talk about whatever tickles your fancy. This could be about what’s going in your career, some fervent debate around what “UX” even means, or who knows… maybe just spending an hour before work mutually talking about cats. (People seem to love cats; the internet is proof of that)
Reply to us individually via Meetup, Slack, or send an email to [masked] and ask to be notified for our catch-ups happening in the following areas. We’ll then send you a personal calendar invite once we've got a date and location set:
Ponsonby - Haunani Pao
Victoria St West (Spark) - Stefanee Chua, Geoff Wilson
Britomart - Walter Lim
Grafton - Michael Szeto & Anna Han
Mt. Wellington - (self-organised, see comments/Slack)
North Shore - (self-organised, see comments/Slack)
Not in those areas? We'd like everyone to be able to find someone else to catch-up with, so we wholeheartedly encourage YOU to organise your own catch-ups too via this Meetup’s comment section or on our #coffee_catchups Slack channel. Feel free to bring your coworkers along for a cuppa too; this is a completely casual, structureless affair after all!
"Attend" this event to get updates, and we hope to see you at one of these soon. Cheers!
