Third Annual Green Drinks Event - Lobero Theatre Courtyard - ($10 fundraiser)

This is a fundraiser thrown by Green Drinks (now in over 600 cities) for the SOL Food Festival in late September. Green Drink's local web site is:

Cost at the door is $10 and gets you one free drink and appetizers.

Additional drinks are $5 with all proceeds from event going to the SOL Food Festival.

The Sustainable, Organic, Local (SOL) Food Festival will be held in Plaza de Vera Cruz in downtown Santa Barbara on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 from 10am-6pm for the 3rd year in partnership with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County. SOL Food highlights the best of the region’s food, farmers and engaged citizens as we seek to create a better food future for all.

The festival will feature live cooking demonstrations and gardening workshops, a salad eating competition, the Santa Barbara Independent's 'Foodie Awards,' children's activities, live farm animals, a food court (The Garden of Eatin'), a local's only beer and wine garden and much, much more.

Green Drinks is a monthly gathering of professionals and community advocates of all ages interested in sustainable lifestyles, earth friendly business practices, social good, and community wellbeing. LoaTree servers as the monthly coordinator for SB Green Drinks. This particular event serves as the final SOL Food Festival fundraising event prior to the festival

Walk, cycle, bus, carpool, skate, rollerblade, wind-skate, unicycle, pogo stick, sail-bike, cartwheel, hop, skip, or jump.

WHO:

Anyone working on environmental issues or studying them, people interested in sharing ideas and networking in a green way, or anyone else interested in making the world a greener (better) place...the more the merrier!

For fun, networking, sharing a drink at the end of the day, inspiration, business and pleasure.
